What to do if I forget my suitcase combination

First of all, be patient. Forgetting the combination to the suitcase lock is something very common among travellers, so in our blog we will try to list a few tips before taking the drastic solution of breaking your luggage bag. Stand still, don't panic.

When you buy a suitcase in our online shop, the combination is set from the factory at 0-0-0 and it is at that moment when you must choose three digits that you can easily remember. Although at first it may seem a very simple and quick step, we must bear in mind that the choice of a suitcase password is more important than we think. Therefore, our advice is not to rush into it and opt for a familiar code, such as a dialling code or a specific date.

If you haven't used your suitcase for some time, it is likely that you will open it and not remember the code. How do I unlock my suitcase if I can't remember the combination? The first solution is the most logical, although at first glance it may seem like an endless and painstaking task. The code of our suitcase is between the numbers ranging from 000 to 999, and you must try all possible combinations starting with 000, 001, 002... and so on until you reach 099 and from there to 100. We will continue through 199 until we reach 999. This solution is the most effective and if we do it correctly, we are sure to find the numbering. Of course, try not to skip any combination as this could lead us to start the process all over again.

As we said, the best remedy is to take it easy. Remember that patience is the mother of science, and if we get lost in a hurry and break the lock, we probably won't be able to use our suitcase again. Once opened, remember to write down the combination so you don't trip over the same stone twice.

But what do we do if we want to change the code to one that is easier to remember?

Well, this process is different depending on the type of suitcase:

On suitcases without a zip you have to move the lever to its lowest position. Some move to the right and upwards, others are marked OFF to indicate that the combination cannot be changed and ON when the combination can be changed. Once the lever has been moved, set the new combination and finish with the lever in its original position.

As for the zippered cases, we will distinguish:

If there is a small button, hold it down while turning the wheels to set the new combination, and then release it.

If there is no button, you must move the round or square piece to the side indicated by the arrow, and then set the new code.

With these simple steps you will have changed the code of your suitcase, but remember that to change it again you must keep in mind the combination previously set.
