Discover the baggage sizes of each airline company
Depending on the class of ticket purchased, passengers are entitled to carry one or more pieces of baggage in the cabin, which must meet a series of requirements in terms of baggage size and weight. This is known as hand luggage, and the conditions may vary depending on the airline you have chosen. In addition to a cabin suitcase, many airlines also allow an additional accessory such as a briefcase or personal bag as well as an electronic device (laptop, tablet, electronic agenda...) always connected in aeroplane mode.
The cabin suitcase must comply with the measurements indicated on the baggage size gauge, which you will find at the check-in counters before boarding. You can then board the plane and place your suitcase in the overhead bins or under the seat in front of you. If you exceed the size limit, your hand luggage will be transported in the hold and you will have to pay an additional charge as check-in luggage.
To date, airlines have not adopted standard dimensions for hand luggage. To try to clear up any doubts, we are going to detail the measurements and weight of cabin luggage accepted by most of the airlines operating in Spain.
The measurements are shown in centimetres including handles, wheels, lower elements and side pockets.
